Whistleblower is a label that’s become synonymous with the music of its owners Alan Fitzpatrick, Reset Robot and Rhymos, as with the exception of a privileged few, the imprint has featured only original tracks from its owners.

The new release on Whistleblower is another example of the aforementioned with Reset Robot providing a three track EP, also including a remix from German techno maestro Heiko Laux who reworks the title track “Direction”.

Reset Robot for this release shows off his harder more techno focused side previously showcased on Drumcode and Tronic, where he collaborated with the respective label bosses Adam Beyer and Christian Smith, but this time he is going solo on this hard hitting EP.

Heiko Laux has previously featured on heavyweight labels including Klockworks, Soma, Figure plus his own label Kanzleramt, and we have been lucky enough to premiere his exceptional remix.

Washing the original vocal in effects to make it a texture rather than a driving force Heiko strips things back with his deeper take. Full of atmosphere, this has a slow building tension that captivates you from the very first beat.
