Him Self Her - Burning Bridges

With a chunky sound, the new release on Chicago’s Apollo Music Group is from Burning Bridges who makes his return to the label following a remix last year.

Burning Bridges is relatively new on the scene having made his first official release in 2017 via Chuck Daniels label Sampled Detroit, but has already proven to be a popular artist with people including Stacey Pullen and Claude VonStroke.

The style of this new EP from Burning Bridges fits with the trademark sound associated with Claude VonStroke so it’s no surprise that he is one of the people to champion this fresh talent.

All of the tracks on this release follow a similar formula with a bass-heavy sound and stripped percussion made memorable using hooky vocals that add to the tracks individual personalities.

With visions of techno the opening piece “In Your Eyes” has an uplifting sound and a bouncy groove full of funk. “Lost My Mind” has a slight increase in intensity with its acid-tinged bassline getting down to business, whilst the tough percussion is perfect for punching the air on a dance floor.

Finishing the EP is “The Vulcanator” and its electro influenced synth line with a menacing mood that is a stark contrast to the array of light-hearted vocal samples which lift the mood.

Tech house at its finest, this EP has everything you need to light up a club and you can pick up a copy from HERE.
